Include the charger make and model if you have selected one, where you park, and where you would like the charger installed. Tell us whether you already own the equipment or are still comparing options.

Planning home EV charging
Can my existing electrical system support a charger?
Available breaker space alone does not establish that a home can support the proposed charging load. The evaluation considers the existing electrical system and the charging equipment you plan to use. The recommendation may involve a dedicated circuit, a different charging setting, load management or other electrical work, depending on the assessment.
Where should the charger go?
Tell us where you park, where the electrical panel is located, and whether the route passes through a garage, attic or exterior wall. A photo of the parking area and closed panel helps explain the layout. Equipment location and the route for the circuit affect the scope; proximity to the panel is only one part of the project.
What information helps with an estimate?
Send the vehicle or charger model, whether you already own the equipment, and whether you want a wall-mounted unit or a receptacle for compatible charging equipment. Jeff Electric will discuss the appropriate electrical work for the equipment and the home rather than assume every charger installation is identical.
